Es profesor e investigador en el Departamento de Ciencias de la Comunicación y Sociología de la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC) y se encuentra acreditado como Profesor Contratado Doctor por la ANECA.

Cofundador y codirector de IntelHub, iniciativa conjunta entre la American Military University, la Universidad de Leicester en el Reino Unido y la URJC. Es colaborador freelance de Jane’s Intelligence Review. Ha sido instructor y coordinador académico durante casi una década del primer programa Máster en Análisis de Inteligencia en España.

Miembro nacional en el task group de OTAN/STO SAS-114 sobre “Análisis y comunicación de la incertidumbre en inteligencia para apoyar la toma de decisiones”. Fundador y director del capítulo español de SCIP, la Asociación internacional de Profesionales de Inteligencia Competitiva.

Editor adjunto de The International Journal of Intelligence, Security, and Public Affairs. Es autor y editor (con Randolph Pherson) de Intelligence Communication in the Digital Era (Palgrave 2015), así como autor y editor (con William Lahneman) de The Art of Intelligence: Simulations, Exercises, and Games (Rowman & Littlefield, 2014).

Dr. Rubén Arcos, PhD, is lecturer and researcher of communication sciences at Rey Juan Carlos University (Madrid). He is founding co-director of IntelHub, a joint initiative of American Military University, the University of Leicester, and Rey Juan Carlos University. He is a freelance contributor of Jane’s Intelligence Review. He has served for almost 10 years as coordinating director of the first ever Master’s degree in Intelligence Analysis in Spain. He is national member of the NATO/STO SAS-114 task group on “Assessment and Communication of Uncertainty in Intelligence to Support Decision-Making”. He is the founder and chapter chair of Strategic and Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP) for Spain

He is deputy editor of The International Journal of Intelligence, Security, and Public Affairs. He is author and editor (with Randolph Pherson) of “Intelligence Communication in the Digital Era: transforming security, defence and business” (Palgrave 2015), and author and editor (with William Lahneman) of “The Art of Intelligence: Simulations, Exercises, and Games” (Rowman & Littlefield 2014).
