teaching%20and%20learning%2C%20the%20acquisition%20of%20new%20skills%20are%20necessary%20in%20citizen%20the%20twenty-first%20century.%20Educational%20activities%20should%20promote%20the%20growth%20of%20open%20source%2C%20as%20it%20boosts%20the%20amount%20of%20data.%20In%20addition%2C%20it%20is%20recognized%20as%20the%20best%20stage%20for%20participation%20and%20equal%20opportunities%20and%20the%20development%20of%20skills%20such%20as%20information%20processing%20and%20digital%20compe-tence.%20In%20this%20sense%2C%20the%20objective%20of%20the%20paper%20is%20to%20know%20the%20existing%20perception%20among%20the%20Spanish%20scientific%20community%2C%20on%20information%20processing%20and%20digital%20competence%20and%20use%20of%20information%20potential%20of%20the%20new%20communication%20and%20educational%20products%20for%20the%20effectiveness%20of%20citizen%20empowerment.%20The%20methodology%20has%20been%20defined%20in%20the%20qualitative%20paradigm.%20The%20research%20instrument%20was%20intensive%20content%20analysis.%20The%20analysis%20results%20were%20obtained%20from%20a%20selection%20of%20scientific%20articles%20in%20Spanish%2C%20chosen%20for%20their%20relevance%20and%20scientific%20impact%20between%202008%20and%202012.%20In%20conclusion%2C%20the%20hypothesis%20is%20confirmed%2C%20stating%20the%20need%20to%20promote%20information%20processing%20and%20digital%20competence%2C%20especially%20in%20the%20educational%20field%2C%20in%20order%20to%20pro-duce%20competent%20citizens%22%2C%22date%22%3A%222014%22%2C%22language%22%3A%22%22%2C%22DOI%22%3A%22%22%2C%22ISSN%22%3A%22%22%2C%22url%22%3A%22%22%2C%22collections%22%3A%5B%5D%2C%22dateModified%22%3A%222023-12-02T18%3A19%3A11Z%22%7D%7D%5D%7D
