Ernesto arrives in Spain in 1998 from Maracaibo, Venezuela, with a scholarship to do doctoral studies at the University of Barcelona. In 2001 he moved to Madrid and began to do his doctoral thesis at the Complutense University of Madrid. At the same time he trained as a professional chef working in several restaurants in Madrid. It was a long and slow process, with several dropouts and several re-starts until in 2014 he became a doctor with the thesis entitled: The author and the Spanish film process of the nineties. He made a camera assistant workshop at the ECAM at the same time he founded his audiovisual production company with which he made two short films as director-screenwriter. She works as a photographer and filmmaker until he becomes a doctor. He studied specialization in gastronomic journalism in the Complutense in 2012 and from that moment until today he has combined work of gastronomic advice with audiovisual research, especially in film narrative, analysis and creative film processes. Since 2017 he is an associate professor of audiosual technologies at the Rey Juan Carlos University. He is an active member of the Icono14 Scientific Association, acting treasurer and partner manager.
